    Who am I?

    I am a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications (FIMA) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). I am a Senior Lecturer with Manchester Metropolitan University and was an Associate Lecturer with the Open University (2008-2012). I have twice been nominated for a National Teaching Fellowship in the UK and was instrumental in establishing a Schools Liaison forum in the North West of England. In 2010, I volunteered as a STEM Ambassador, and in 2014 I became a Speaker for Schools. My research area is in Dynamical Systems and I am a world class leader in the use of Maths packages in teaching, learning, assessment and research. I am the co-inventor of binary oscillator computing with patents covering the UK and US. I am the author of five books. Note that all of my Springer books have accompanying working programs that can be downloaded from the web.
